Having launched in Ireland two years ago, Wet n Wild has become a staple in many beauty lovers makeup bag. With prices that won’t break the bank and products that work as hard as their high end counter parts. It is not hard to see why, so many of us have Wet n Wild products packing our makeup bags.
With Wet n Wild available in Dunnes and Pennys across the country, I thought I would highlight some of my favourite products from the brand to help your narrow down what you should throw into your trolly the next time you’re out and about doing the shopping. Oh and yes, I did say trolly. My poor husband doesn’t realise that when we go grocery shopping I sneak in a few lipsticks and bits and pieces . Sure a girl has got to get her fix!
My absolute favourite product in the Wet n Wild collection has to be their Mega last lipsticks. These lipsticks are incredibly creamy and long wearing . They pack a serious punch when it comes to pigment and they feel comfortable on the lips. All for €2.99!!! They are also the closest I’ve ever come to finding dupes, as Bare it all is more or less identical to Mac Velvet Teddy, both in how it wears and how it looks. Also Red Velvet is a dead ringer for Mac Ruby woo, except Red Velvet is far more comfortable on the lips!!! I can honestly say that I reach for these lipsticks again and again.
Next up is the Colour Icon bronzer in the shade Ticket to Brazil. I have actually gone through two of these bronzers, as not only are them great for bronzing the chest area, but they are also perfect for contouring as the colour is just warm enough without leaving you looking like an Oompa Lumpa. Ticket to Brazil is extremely pigmented, so a light hand is needed. The compact also contains a serious amount of product, so they last a long time. At €6.49 it really would be rude to leave this baby on the stand.
Finally, the Wet n Wild eyeshadow compacts are worth having in your collection. Being a lover of purples and burgundy colours it is not surprising that I am a fan of the Petal pusher palette. The palette is split into 2 columns, and while all the colours compliment each other, they seem to work better together when used horizontaly. The column on the left of the palette is more purple toned, while the column on the right is much deeper in tone. Like all Wet n Wild eyeshadows, the palette comes with the area of the eyelid that the eyeshadow is best suited to indented into the shadow itself. Perfect if you aren’t too confident at creating an eyeshadow look that involves more than 1 eyeshadow at a time. Wet n Wild have a range of palettes to pick from with colours to suit all different eyeshades. I’ve tried a number of different palettes and not one has let me down when it comes to pigment and how easy they are to blend. A large palette will set you back €6.49
Wet n Wild have recently introduced their new celebrity Global beauty ambassadors, Kat Graham, Jasmine V and Brianne Howey.
