Who don’t love big lashes? I am a big fan of false lashes when heading out but I try not to wear them during the day. Yet I don’t want to sacrifice having mega lashes. Bring in the Youngblood mineral lash primer .

No mascara or primer |
I had never used an eyelash primer before as I thought they were just a gimmick and another step in my already lengthy makeup routine. However, when I was given the Youngblood eyelash primer to try, I thought sure why not. Ladies I have not looked back since using this. While the mascara I use may change during the week I use this primer everyday without fail.

Lashes after using Youngblood Mineral lash primer |
So how does it work. Basically you apply one coat of primer and while the lash is still wet you apply your mascara . The primer lifts and lengthens the lash, so that when you put mascara on, your lashes are already separated and the mascara then adds even more volume and length. By using the primer I find it stops the mascara from flaking and clumping. It is really important to apply your mascara when the primer is still wet, otherwise you will end up with clumpy bits on your lashes. If you use this right you will definitely see a difference in the length and volume of your lashes

With Mascara, although the picture doesn’t do the lashes justice |
I have tried the Youngblood primer with a number of different mascaras and it does make a difference. Especially when I used it with Benefit They’re real and Make Up For Ever Smoky Extravagant. It can be bought on the Closer 2 Fabulous website for €32 or in a number of Chemists around the country, details of which can be found on the Youngblood Facebook page.
While I did receive this as a gift it has in no way guided my thoughts on the primer. I would without a doubt purchase this again. As with all my reviews I promise to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but The Beautiful Truth. ( Sorry I couldn’t resist the corniness)

December 12, 2013 at 10:01 amI LOVE this, will repurchase over and over. People I work with have actually commented on my lashes and they have never commented on anything else- speaks volumes. I love the wand for applying it too, small and long- fab! 🙂
