January Glossybox

Well judging by the Glossybox Facebook page people are seriously not happy with this box. I know every month I seem to complain about it and promise to cancel, but I have serious fear of missing out. I know the minute I cancel the next box will be the best box ever. In saying that, this box was the worst box yet. To me is was just full of cheap rubbish. Glossybox is supposed to be a chance to try out products that you would not normally splash out on, but instead again we get more high street products and products I wouldn’t even dream of buying. What gets me the most is they take payment for the box from your account on Januaray 10th and yet I didn’t get my box until January 29th! That’s bad business to me. Have a read below and judge for yourself. Sometimes I think it’s just me being picky.

Balance me Beauty – Super toning body wash

What is there to say about this. It’s a body wash, its travel size, smells a little like fairy liquid. Full size costs €10.25, this is a 50 ml bottle. I’ll use it when flying with only hand luggage.

Beauty UK CC cream

A Narutal colour complexion corrector. Never even heard of this brand. Considering it only costs £4.99 for a full size, I don’t hold out much hope for it. This will probably end up in the bin. I wouldn’t even give this a second glance in a shop, so why is this in my Glossybox? This is a full size product.

Anatomicals Puffy the Eye bag slayer

I am vaguley instrested in these. Nigella Lawson was caught wearing these recently and they caught my attention. Supposdly they are great for reducing fine lines, wrinkles and giving the skin under your eyes life. I heard the Skyn Iceland under eye gels , that can be found in Marks and Spencer, are the best of the lot, but I’ll give these a go. This is a sample amount.

Yu-Be Moisturising skin cream

A multi use moisturising cream full of Vitamin E and B2, camphor and glycerine. Grand. I’ll bring this with me when I go away, or they could end up in a drawer somewhere. Again these are sample sizes.

The Vintage Cosmetic Complany Floral Slanted Tweezers

This is the best thing in the box and it is cute. I already have a few tweezers, but i’ll put these into my makeup drawer so I always have one to hand. This is a full size product and costs £8.

I am literally giving Glossybox one more chance before I am saying bye bye. They can’t send out this rubbish and expect people to be happy with it. There are plenty more beauty boxes out there, that they can’t keep thinking they can get by with this rubbish because of their name. I have ordered an Irish beauty box called Powder pocket to see how it holds up along side the Glossybox. I know so many people have cancelled their subscription over this months box, so I really hope Glossybox up their game with the Valentines box.
